Our vision is to bring UK Balboa dancers together for a weekend of learning, dancing, and socialising. Expect inspiring workshops with international teachers Nina and Anthony, three evening socials, and chances to connect in beautiful Cambridge!

Levels? This event is aimed at Balboa dancers with prior experience. In the coming weeks after your registration, we’ll send out a form with a few questions about your dance background and interests, which will help us form three cohorts with a suitable learning environment and a shared learning focus.

Class hours? Each participant will have 3h15min of class content with Nina and Anthony, made up of two 1h cohort classes and a 1h15min combined session across cohorts. On top of that, there will be two taster classes on Friday and Saturday night taught by festival attendees.

Role Management System in DanceCloud. DanceCloud automatically manages a Lead/Follow balance, so you may be placed on the waitlist initially. If that happens, fear not! The system might just needs a little time to work through sign-ups.

We are not asking you to sign up to levels. We’ll send out a form in the coming weeks with a few questions about your dance background and interests, which will help us form three cohorts with a suitable learning environment and a shared learning focus. This form will also include:

  • requests for local Cambs folk to volunteer a space for hosting to some of our out of town visitors, and an opportunity for you to request to be hosted if needed.
  • An opportunity for you to volunteer to run a taster class on Friday or Saturday night before the social. We’ll be asking for your idea/theme for the class - so get thinking!
